Ok, so now that the "Games of the Thirtieth Olympiad" are over, I can get back to doing... everything else that I should be doing. I love the Olympics, and am always quite sad when the are over. I have a lot of pictures to post, and am excited for some up coming Senior sessions I have planned!
But anyway, the photo of the day is actually taken by my sister Esther, I just think it turned out so cute, and thought I'd use it! We were at a wedding this weekend for a good family friend who got married on the farm she grew up on. It was beautiful and perfect in every way. The kids had a blast running around all evening! Even little miss Elin, tries to do her best keeping up with all the crazy running kids, and the little bugger can pretty much keep right with them!

Amy and Pat are expecting a baby girl in a couple weeks. We met at the Arboretum to take some maternity pictures. Sure enought it decides to rain on us the, 2nd time its rained all summer!! But how cute is this shot of those cute baby girl shoes with mommy and daddy's feet!

 I want to take some cute pictures to make in to canvas prints, one of each of the kids, and one together. Uhhhh yeah so much easier said than done, especially now that Elin is practically running around! Maybe not canvas print worthy, but there were some cute ones!

For those of you with little ones,  you know that everything seems like a new discovery. It is so fun to watch your kids learn new things, even like picking their nose! Its almost like Elin is looking at the camera and thinking " Hey cool, what is this, my finger fits right in side, or maybe she is just thinking...... umm excuse me I'm busy here"

Photo of the Day #30: Furniture

I had forgotten that I bought this old wingback chair at a garage sale a while back until I saw my dad had it loaded up in his truck to store up north. I have been thinking how fun it would be to have a peice of old furniture to take pictures with. I had invisioned doing lil miss Carly's one year picture with her sitting on this chair holding pink balloons. But every thing I have been reading about children and baby photography is to take all your "ideas" and throw them out the window. I hadn't thought about the wind, blowing the balloons completely sideways, and even tho I live with two super rascals, I for some reason hoped Carly would sit perfectly still and smile while holding the balloons. Nothing turns out quite as you had invisioned, but its hard to get a bad picture of such a cutie!!

Ok, so small is even to big to describe little miss Ava, who graced her Mommy and Daddy's with her beautiful presence a bit early.  But how cute is she in that tiny doll bed? This is one of the many great ones we got in our newborn session this past weekend. Congrats again to Christina and Mike!

Today I took some photos of my friend Mikki with her husband, two kids, brother-in-law and his girlfriend. We met at the Noerenberg Memorial Gardens in Wayzata, while I walked around looking for the best lighting and spot for pictures I saw this crazy flower. I couldn't help but stop and take some pictures! How cool is this!
